Fear and excitement mark Indian students’ US journey in 2025

New India Abroad spoke to some Indian students and their parents to learn about their current sentiments regarding studying in the United States. Here's what they had to say.

While America has long been the preferred choice for Indian students seeking world-class education and career opportunities, a mix of tightening visa policies, increased scrutiny, and a shifting political climate is causing a great drop in new enrollments and raising concerns about their future.

We reached out to a few Indian students and their parents coming to American colleges this year to learn about their current sentiments. Here are some of their concerns and hopes.
