The brutal killing of an Indian immigrant motel manager in Dallas, beheaded with a machete in front of his wife and child by a Cuban national with a long criminal record, has stunned the Indian American community and triggered outrage over U.S. immigration policy.
Chandra Mouli Nagamallaiah, 50, an immigrant from India, was killed on Sept. 10 at the motel he managed in Dallas. Police say the attacker, identified as Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, 37, decapitated him with a machete during a heated argument about a broken washing machine.
