Indian jewelry brand Tanishq returned to New York Fashion Week in partnership with designer Bibhu Mohapatra to present their Spring 2026 collection. The showcase was held at the Pierre Hotel in Manhattan on Sept 15.
Mohapatra’s designs, inspired by early 20th-century India, were paired with more than 65 Tanishq pieces, including the Romance of Polki revival of uncut diamonds, the Enchanted Trails line, and Lure, a contemporary take on pearls.
The runway presentation featured a range of silhouettes, from cargo pants and kurtas to evening gowns. Mohapatra’s eveningwear, in particular, highlighted his focus on draping and detailing. “Together, we celebrate the modern woman as a luminous force—resilient, radiant, and timeless. Every piece becomes not just an ornament but a testament to the feminine spirit,” Mohapatra said.

Both Mohapatra and Tanishq positioned the collection as a meeting point of tradition and modernity, using jewelry and fashion to express identity, heritage, and resilience. The collaboration aimed to celebrate women not only as historical figures and muses but also as leaders and creators in the present.
Tanishq, part of the Tata Group, has expanded internationally in recent years. The brand now operates over 400 stores worldwide, including eight in the United States in cities such as Chicago, Houston, Seattle, and Santa Clara.
