A special screening of Vivek Agnihorti's 'The Bengal Files' was organized in Beverly Hills recently.
Showcasing the film for a packed audience, Agnihotri and his wife and the film's lead actress, Pallavi Joshi, were present for the screening.
The Bengal Files is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language political drama film directed by Agnihotri, focusing on the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings and Noakhali riots, portraying them as a suppressed chapter of communal violence in Bengal. As the final installment of Agnihotri’s “Files Trilogy,” it is set for theatrical release on Sept. 5, 2025.
Agnihotri has once again stoked controversy with the film's depiction of historical events, with critics accusing the film of distorting history while Agnihotri defending the film as a true representation of the violence that erupted in Bengal in 1946.
