Ektā, the new album by Indian American musician, producer and activist Madame Gandhi, has achieved chart success in India and the United States. Following its global release on Aug. 14, 2026, the album reached No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes New Age Albums chart, No. 1 on the India iTunes Overall Albums chart and No. 1 on the India iTunes New Age Albums chart.

The milestone was celebrated by Indian American philanthropist Meera Gandhi, CEO of The Giving Back Foundation and mother of Kiran Gandhi, who performs under the stage name Madame Gandhi. Reflecting on the achievement, Meera Gandhi said the spirit of the project has grown beyond a musical release.

“Thank you so much to everyone who participated and pre-ordered the amazing Ektā album,” she said. “It is now officially at No. 1 in India and No. 1 in the USA. This achievement is not merely a chart statistic — it is the crest of a cultural wave shaped by creativity, community and a message of unity that resonates across continents.”

Ektā, which translates to “oneness” or “unity,” is a collaborative project featuring Madame Gandhi, electronic music duo Antaeus, record label Café De Anatolia and artist Amani Sol.

Madame Gandhi, known for her fusion of electronic music, feminist philosophy and social activism, has crafted Ektā as a sonic meditation on empowerment, spiritual grounding and collective strength.

A Grammy-focused feature on Gandhi’s website positions Ektā for Best New Age Album consideration, highlighting its atmospheric textures, meditative rhythms and global collaborations with Antaeus, Café De Anatolia and Amani Sol. These artists, each known for work in their respective genres, expand the album’s reach and deepen its spiritual resonance.

One track in particular, “Kyrie,” has emerged as a standout, and Meera Gandhi encouraged listeners to enjoy the rising hit.

Antaeus, a collaborator on Ektā, is a pioneering figure in the global chillout and New Age music scene and has spent decades crafting soundscapes that blend ancient musical traditions with modern electronic textures. His atmospheric production style — immersive, meditative and richly layered — brings a signature depth to Ektā.

With millions of listeners across continents, Café De Anatolia has become an influential collective in the ethnoelectronic genre. Its music blends Middle Eastern instrumentation, Balkan rhythms and contemporary electronic production, creating a sound that is both ancient and futuristic. Its involvement in Ektā adds a worldbeat dimension, amplifying the album’s themes of interconnectedness and global harmony.

Amani Sol is a rising force in ambient and spiritual electronica, known for crafting deeply emotive, celestial compositions. Her shimmering synths, ethereal vocals and expansive sonic landscapes infuse Ektā with a cosmic quality. Together, the collaborators form a global creative constellation around Madame Gandhi, each adding a distinct cultural and sonic dimension to the album’s message of oneness.

In her announcement, Meera Gandhi also shared a gesture that reflects the community-driven ethos behind the album’s success: “Those who pre-ordered will be invited to very special private events in New York, London and LA.”

These gatherings, spanning three global cultural capitals, symbolize the shared journey between artist and audience. They offer supporters a chance to connect with the creative process and celebrate the album’s achievements in spaces that mirror its international impact.

The Giving Back Foundation, founded by Gandhi and headquartered in New York, has long championed cultural enrichment, education and humanitarian values. Its association with Ektā highlights a shared mission of uplifting voices that inspire compassion, creativity and social change.

As the album continues to gain momentum, its rise stands as a testament to the power of art to transcend boundaries. From New York to New Delhi, from London to Los Angeles, Ektā is being embraced as both a soundtrack and a movement — a reminder that when voices come together, the result can be transformative.

In Meera Gandhi’s warm closing — “Warmly Meera Gandhi” — lies the essence of this moment: a celebration rooted in gratitude, community and the belief that unity is not just an ideal but a lived experience.
