KidZ, a Zee5 initiative for age-appropriate content, has announced the global launch of its first two original animated series, ‘Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar’ and ‘FAB 5.’
The new originals are positioned as culturally rooted stories designed for children and families. ‘Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar’ is scheduled to premiere on Dec. 24, while ‘FAB 5’ will release on the platform soon.

‘Chote Tara ka Bada Gadar’ is set in the village of Himmatpur and follows a fearless 10-year-old navigating mythical creatures, underground worlds, and ancient legends intersecting with everyday life.
‘FAB 5’ revolves around a young boy who discovers he can merge with four magical toy companions to protect an amusement park and a hidden mystical realm from dark forces.
The platform said the titles will sit alongside established properties such as Chhota Bheem and select international content, strengthening its focus on safe, age-appropriate programming. Both series feature high-energy title tracks aimed at engaging young audiences and building anticipation ahead of their release.
Chandan Khandelwal, business head, kids division at ZEE5 India and Global, said the initiative reflects a broader content strategy. “With KidZ, we’re creating a safe, joyful space where children can explore stories rooted in Indian culture, stories that spark imagination, celebrate values, and deliver fun with meaning,” he said.
He added that the goal is “to delight children and give parents the confidence that their kids are watching content that uplifts, inspires, and brings Indian stories to the forefront.”
ZEE5 is a video streaming platform offering South Asian content to audiences across more than 190 countries. The platform delivers content across multiple Indian languages, spanning originals, films, television shows, kids’ programming, news, and live television, with a focus on language-led and region-specific storytelling.
