“I look forward to working closely with the Government of India and the Indian people to advance our shared priorities in defense, trade, technology, and critical minerals, and to further strengthen the partnership between our two great democracies,” he added.
Gor assumes the post at a time when Washington and New Delhi are seeking to deepen cooperation across strategic, economic, and technological sectors, including in defense, critical technologies, and supply chains.
Before taking up his assignment in New Delhi, Gor served as Assistant to the President and Director of Presidential Personnel at the White House.
His appointment comes amid continued efforts by both governments to expand bilateral ties, particularly in defense, trade, and critical minerals, even as the two sides work through differences on economic and trade issues.
