Malini Basu is a multiple Emmy and National Edward R. Murrow Award–winning journalist with more than two decades of experience reporting stories that have moved the needle — from breaking news that toppled a State Police Colonel to reporting from one of the world's most dangerous prisons in El Salvador. Her work has appeared across every major network, including CNN, Bloomberg, ABC,CBS,NBC and Fox. Born in Kolkata and raised in Queens, she has covered presidential visits, natural disasters, and national crises across the country. Today, Malini brings that same investigative instinct to the world of sports — leading communications, partnerships, and strategy for the National Cricket League and NCL 20 Canada, and championing cricket's rise in North America ahead of the 2028 LA Olympics.
