Canada’s coffeehouse and restaurant chain Tim Hortons has announced a collaboration with ‘Never Have I Ever’ actress Maitreyi Ramakrishnan for the launch of their upcoming offering -- Dream Cookies. As part of the collaboration, the actress will star in a Tim Hortons commercial, alongside her brother Vishwaa.
According to a release, the duo has shot for the commercial reflecting their love for the coffeehouse and their excitement for the new flavours which will be revealed soon. The cookies will be available at outlets across Canada starting June 21.
"I've always loved Tim Hortons and Tims cookies were something my family always shared so I'm super excited to be helping introduce Dream Cookies to Canadians," Maitreyi said, in the press note. "I tweeted last year that I'd missed Tims while I was away from home and that led to a super fun experience visiting the Tim Hortons Test Kitchen in Toronto with my brother and mom. We all got to have a sneak peek of the Dream Cookies recipes that were still being developed. I was already obsessed with the cookies at Tims, but these Dream Cookies are just beyond."
Tim Hortons described Dream Cookies as “soft and chewy, packed with delectable ingredients.” These cookies will be baked fresh in restaurants throughout the day. Dream Cookies will join the chain’s existing varieties, including chocolate chunk, peanut butter, and oatmeal raisin spice variants.
“We're proud to have a true Tims fan in Maitreyi joining us in introducing Dream Cookies to Canadians," said Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer for Tim Hortons.
He added, "Cookies have always been a classic menu item at Tims but our Dream Cookies elevate and reinvent the category for us. They're a delicious treat to celebrate your every day and share with friends and family. We can't wait for everyone to try them.”
