Visitor Guard, a leading provider of travel insurance for international visitors to the United States, has launched a new WhatsApp support feature aimed at Indian travelers.

Recognizing India as one of the top countries sending visitors to the US annually, the company introduced this service to address a recurring concern: lack of accessible help during medical emergencies in a foreign system. The feature enables real-time assistance with insurance policies, emergency guidance, and claims processing — directly from users' smartphones.

"We know how critical it is for Indian visitors to get reliable help, especially when unexpected medical issues arise thousands of miles from home," said Chiranth Nataraj, founder of Visitor Guard. "WhatsApp is already part of daily life for millions of Indian travelers. By offering real-time help on this trusted platform, we are making sure they have a simple, secure way to reach us — anytime, anywhere,” he added.

The WhatsApp service offers 24/7 availability, responses in under 10 minutes during business hours, and multi-language assistance in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Kannada. It allows users to request documents such as ID cards, claim forms, and visa letters, while also helping them locate in-network hospitals and understand policy benefits. More crucially, in emergencies, travelers can use WhatsApp to receive instant directions on what steps to take and where to seek care.

Visitor Guard offers several well-known insurance plans such as Venbrook Premier, Safe Travels USA Comprehensive, and Atlas America, which cover hospitalizations, accidental injuries, and even the acute onset of pre-existing conditions. With over 15 years in the travel insurance sector, the launch of WhatsApp support reflects the company’s mission to deliver affordable, user-centric care tailored to the needs of Indian travelers visiting the US.
