In honor of International Yoga Day, Meera Gandhi, Indian American philanthropist and founder of The Giving Back Foundation, will host a day-long wellness event on June 21.
The UPLIFTNY25 event, which is free to the public with prior registration, will take place at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (local time) in collective celebration of mental peace, healing, and community connection.

Presented in partnership with the Mayor's Office of Sports, Wellness, and Recreation, the event will feature yoga sessions, guided meditation, live music, and spiritual discussions, all centered on the theme: “How to Uplift Ourselves in a Challenging World?”
Featured presenters and performers include Bhushan Deodhar, Darryl Gaines, Daybreaker, Inga Benson, Madame Gandhi, Miriam Belov, and Tirlok Malik. , who will share ancient wisdom and modern insights aimed at building mental wellness and self-awareness.
Meera Gandhi, whose foundation promotes global mental health and spiritual well-being, emphasized the event's broader purpose. “UPLIFTNY25 is more than just an event, it’s a movement. We’re coming together to uplift each other’s mental health and spiritual well-being, celebrating the power of community and the beauty of connection.”
