Global Seva Fund Inc., a nonprofit based in Fairfax Station, Virginia will mark its tenth anniversary with a gala and award banquet on July 19.
The anniversary gala will include a buffet lunch, musical and dance performances, and a community raffle. In addition, the nonprofit will recognize individuals who have contributed significantly to charitable and volunteer work.

Among those being honored this year are Tushar Dode and Monika Khatri, who will receive the Excellence in Philanthropy Award. Navneet Sharma will be presented the GSF Medal for Community Service. Ruhani Witek will receive the President’s Volunteer Service Silver Medal, a federal recognition granted by the White House to volunteers who meet national standards for community service hours.
The event is backed by individual and corporate sponsors, including Nilima Mehra, a former FOX5 Plus broadcaster and executive producer at GTV.
Since its inception, Global Seva Fund has supported food and education programs, health aid, and disaster relief initiatives in the U.S. and India.Its work over the past decade has focused on supporting vulnerable populations, with a special emphasis on promoting education among girls and providing aid to senior citizens and disaster-affected families.
The group partners with organizations both locally and abroad to distribute resources and services to those in need.
