U.S. President Donald Trump on Sept.5 said he was “very disappointed” by India’s continued purchases of Russian oil, pointing to the decision as justification for the 50 per cent tariff imposed on Indian goods.
“I don’t think we have lost India to China,” Trump said when asked if Washington had ceded influence to Beijing.
