Kaushik Sengupta to lead $10 million US chip design project

The project tackles bottlenecks in radio-frequency chip design through artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Kaushik Sengupta, an Indian-origin professor at Princeton and an IIT Kharagpur alumnus, is leading a $10 million joint government-industry initiative to develop advanced semiconductors for wireless communication and sensing. 

The project, based at Princeton University where Sengupta teaches electrical and computer engineering, was announced by the National Semiconductor Technology Center, a public-private consortium managed by the National Center for the Advancement of Semiconductor Technology (Natcast).
