The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a landmark global partnership with Google to elevate women’s cricket, aiming to enhance fan engagement and accessibility through cutting-edge technology.
The agreement, revealed last week, marks the ICC’s first women’s-only global partnership and comes ahead of two major tournaments: the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka, and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales.

Through this collaboration, Google’s ecosystem, including Android, Google Gemini, Google Pay, and Google Pixel will be integrated to enhance the fan experience. The partnership seeks to bring supporters closer to the game’s pivotal moments, players, and stories, spanning the full journey from watching highlights to celebrating victories.
“This partnership with Google is a landmark moment for women’s cricket and underlines our commitment to taking the women’s game to even greater heights. By harnessing Google’s world-class innovation, we will be able to create more engaging experiences for fans and bring the sport closer to people everywhere,” ICC chairman Jay Shah said.
The ICC highlighted that women’s cricket has witnessed exponential growth in recent years, with record-breaking audiences and increased participation. The Google alliance, following Unilever’s appointment earlier this year as the ICC’s first global women’s partner, is expected to fuel further visibility and commercial strength.
Shekar Khosla, VP of marketing at Google India, said the partnership reflects cricket’s spirit of community, “this alliance is not just about a single tournament; it's about building deeper engagement, making the sport more accessible, and enabling fans to feel a stronger connection with what they care about.”
With this collaboration, the ICC and Google aim to position women’s cricket as a global sporting force, resonating strongly in both traditional cricketing nations and emerging markets.
