US and UK-based Hindu organizations have called on global institutions to recognize and condemn what they described as “Islamist terrorism” targeting Hindus and other non-Muslim minorities, following the Apr.22, 2025 massacre of Hindu tourists in Jammu and Kashmir.

The letter campaign, coordinated by HinduPACT’s Hindus Advancing Human Rights (HAHRI) initiative, was addressed to the United Nations, the European Union, the US State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the US Mission to the UN. The letters urged global institutions to acknowledge the religious ideology that fuels attacks on Hindus, Christians, and other minorities.
