GOPIO urges Australian PM to step in and address rising anti-immigrant sentiment

GOPIO emphasised that immigrants bring vital skill sets, technical training, and capabilities that are boosting Australia’s economy and keeping it competitive in the global technology race.

Expressing concerns over upcoming anti-immigrant protests, the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) has called on Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to step in and highlight the economic and social contributions of immigrants.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, GOPIO urged the Australian Prime Minister to reinforce public understanding of immigration’s benefits and to counter misinformation ahead of upcoming protests.
