FIA and Chicago Hindu Mahotsav Group host community picnic

The picnic featured food, games, karaoke, dance performances, and a Garba performance.

The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA-Chicago) joined hands with Chicago Hindu Mahotsav Group NFP to host a community picnic on July 27.

Over 150 community members came together for this picnic celebration, featuring food, games, karaoke, dance performances, and a Garba performance.

Several community leaders joined in on the celebrations, including Mafatbhai Patel of the Patel Brothers grocery chain and past President and Trustees Bhailalbhai Patel, Kantibhai S Patel, Kantibhai N Patel, Rakesh Malhotra, Dr Rashmi Patel and Raj Patel also attended the picnic.

Guests from Harisumiran Mandir, P. Guruprasad Swamiji, P. Harisanmukh Swamiji, and Himanshubhai Sheth attended the gathering.

VHPA President Vineshbhai Virani also attended the picnic and urged the community members to be a part of the “Support a Child” initiative taking place on Aug. 9 at Manav Seva Mandir.

Abhinav Raina invited attendees to the premiere of the much-anticipated film, 'The Bengal Files’.

Young artists Shikha and Tirth performed Garbas, while the Saraswati Singers Group led a lively karaoke session, adding devotional flair and entertainment to the day.

Hemant Patel, President of FIA-Chicago, thanked Shailesh and Bela Rajput from Hindu Mahotsav for their efforts in organizing the picnic. He also thanked Chirag Patel - Angel's DJ for the music and all volunteers and sponsors who made the event possible.
