Desai Foundation’s Times Square billboard celebrates global impact
The foundation has reached a remarkable milestone of having impacted 10 million lives.

The Desai Foundation celebrated the impact it made on 10 million lives through a billboard in Times Square, New York.
Set in the heart of New York city, the billboard is a testament to the work of the foundation over the years. The Desai Foundation is a nonprofit committed to empowering women and children through health, livelihood, and menstrual equity programs in rural India.
The milestone seeks to highlight the foundation's work and also build excitement for one of the most beloved events of the foundation, 'Diwali on the Hudson', returning this fall for an evening of purpose and celebration.

Now in its 12th year, ‘Diwali on the Hudson’ has become a premier cultural and philanthropic event in New York City, drawing a dynamic crowd of changemakers, celebrities, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. It’s a night that blends glamour with giving, showcasing South Asian culture while supporting grassroots programs that transform lives across rural India.
Mittal Gohil, Executive Director of the foundation, said "This achievement is a celebration of a decade of hard work from our incredible team in India and in the United States, it's a testament of the trust the people we serve, and most importantly, it's a celebration of you, our incredible donors and supporters."
He further added, "None of this work is possible without you! If you have ever attended an event, visited our work, made a donation - this is a celebration of your support!"
In a social media post by the foundation, Megha Desai, the president of the Desai Foundation, said, "The Desai Foundation is in Times Square, from Rural India to the heart of New York City, the Desai foundation is so proud to celebrate, reaching 10 million lives, with the world"
She added, "Thank you for believing in us, believing in the people we serve and investing in us,"
Giving credit to the Desai Foundation team, Yati Desai, Director of Operations and Special Projects said, "This would not have been possible without the hard-work, passion and commitment of our entire team."
