Dear editor,
Today is Armed Forces Day.
It’s a day set aside to honor the men and women who wear the uniform of the United States Armed Forces -- those who serve today, ready to defend our nation at a moment’s notice.
But to me, as a Veteran, it means even more.
It’s a moment to reflect on the meaning of service, sacrifice, and duty. It’s a day that brings back memories; of camaraderie, challenge, and the pride that comes from knowing you were part of something greater than yourself.
I think of the long hours, the deployments, the families who stood strong at home, and the brothers and sisters in arms who became family. I think of those who never made it home.
Today, I stand in gratitude and respect -- for all who are currently serving, for those who have served, and for those who gave everything.
On-behalf of the Indo-American Veterans Organization, please join me in a salute -- to all the brave men and women in uniform.
Your courage, commitment, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed. You are honored. You are remembered. You are appreciated.
With respect and solidarity,
S Christian.
A proud Veteran
