Founded in 2021, the Grizzlies are part of a growing push to expand the sport of cricket across the U.S., with a focus on regional development and competitive excellence. Shah, a Bay Area native and lifelong cricket enthusiast, brings a combination of business acumen and passion for the game to the franchise’s front office.
“This journey is made possible through the partnership and support of my co-owners. A special acknowledgment goes to Jatin Porecha, our second-largest investor, whose commitment to the franchise has been pivotal. Together, we’re building a world-class team that delivers lasting value to our players, partners, investors, and the broader cricket community,” Shah said.
The new ownership structure includes several others, including second-largest investor Jatin Porecha, along with Arun Mohan and general manager Nirav Shah. Together, they aim to elevate the Grizzlies as a model franchise in American cricket.
Nirav Shah noted the team’s renewed focus on grassroots talent and local engagement. “Team Grizzlies is driven by a shared passion for cricket and a deep commitment to excellence,”he said.
As part of Minor League Cricket, the Grizzlies serve as a vital link in developing talent for Major League Cricket, which represents the highest level of professional cricket in the country.
