In a major push to make consular services more accessible to the Indian American community, India’s Ambassador to the United States, Vinay Mohan Kwatra, virtually inaugurated eight new Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) across the country on Aug.1—including a long-awaited center in the little-India hub of Edison, New Jersey.
The expansion raises the total number of ICACs in the US to 16, with a 17th opening soon in Los Angeles.
