The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) of Chicago engaged the community in support of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA)’s  “Support a Child” initiative during a recent cultural fundraiser.

Over 350 community members attended the premiere of ‘Ram Ratan Dhan Payo’, a musical dance drama depicting the Ramayana at Manav Seva Mandir on Aug. 2.

Each ticket helped Support A Child (SAC)—ensuring food, shelter, and education for underprivileged children across India. Organizers reported that more than 110 children are sponsored under the SAC program.

SAC routinely hosts world class cultural programs in multiple US cities that serve as great fund raisers and help raise awareness about the various projects undertaken by VHPA.

This year, the Ram Ratan Dhan Payo, a play based on the life of lord Ram was organized in partnership with Sharayu Nritya Kalamandir and tours the U.S. through September 14.
Venue and tickets to the event on other cities are available here www.supportachildusa.org
