Moët & Chandon has replaced its signature 9L bottle with a 12L Balthazar at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, which runs from Sept.4 to 14, 2025. 2L Balthazar is a large-format bottle of the brand's signature Brut Impérial champagne, equivalent to 16 standard 750ml bottles.

The champagne house said the larger bottle will be signed by actors attending the festival and later auctioned to support TIFF’s Transform Together campaign.

According to Moët & Chandon, the first signatures were led by actor Huma Qureshi, followed by Ryan Reynolds, Colin Hanks, Barbie Ferreira and Shailene Woodley. More signings are expected during the festival.

TIFF said the Transform Together campaign was launched to mark the festival’s 50th year. “The campaign invests in the future of film while reinforcing the festival’s commitment to creative excellence, talent development, and community connections,” TIFF said.

The funds raised through the initiative will go toward expanding TIFF’s programming and capacity to highlight new stories, support the next generation of filmmakers, and engage audiences more deeply. “It ensures TIFF continues to be a global cultural force, celebrating Canada’s artistic legacy and championing diverse voices in film,” TIFF said.

Moët & Chandon’s participation builds on a longstanding tradition of pairing the festival’s red-carpet events with charitable efforts.

The Toronto International Film Festival, founded in 1976, has grown into one of the most influential film festivals worldwide. Its 50th anniversary edition is expected to draw major international talent, filmmakers, and industry professionals to the city.
