Gary Sikka, president of the American Punjabi Society (APS), and Mohinder Singh Taneja, senior vice president, recently met with New York State Senator Jack Martins to explore opportunities for organizing APS cultural and community programs in Albany.


In a written statement Pradeep Tandon, Media and Public Relations coordinator of the American Punjabi Society said, "Senator Martins, a respected public servant known for his strong ties to the Long Island community and consistent support for diverse cultural initiatives, welcomed the idea and expressed enthusiasm about fostering greater participation from the Indian-American and Punjabi communities at the state level. The American Punjabi Society has long been committed to promoting unity, cultural heritage, and humanitarian service. Through this new collaboration, APS looks forward to expanding its outreach and proudly representing the vibrant voices of our community in the capital."
