About the Role:

We’re looking for a Back-End Developer who can help us architect and implement the foundational services for StackIt. You’ll own the logic that powers financial calculations, user accounts, and data security.

Note: This role is equity-based at this time. There is no salary until funding or revenue allows. You’ll be considered a founding contributor and help shape the future of StackIt.

What you’ll do:

Architect and build scalable APIs for the StackIt mobile app
Set up secure authentication, user accounts, and data storage
Integrate with third-party financial APIs (e.g., Plaid or MX)
Collaborate with the front-end dev and UX to align on structure and logic
Own the backend codebase, deployment, and database management

What we’re looking for:

Experience with Node.js, Express, or similar frameworks
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase
Knowledge of authentication, data privacy, and financial security best practices
Bonus: Familiarity with Plaid, budgeting apps, or fintech products
Proactive communicator who can work independently and deliver reliably
