ગુજરાતમાં સ્થાનિક સ્વરાજ્યની ચૂંટણીનો જંગ જામ્યો. કુલ 57 ટકા મતદાન થયું

ગુજરાત રાજ્યમાં આજે  જૂનાગઢ મહાનગર પાલિકા, 68 નગરપાલિકાઓ, 3 તાલુકા પંચાયત સહિત સ્થાનિક સ્વરાજની સંસ્થાઓની સામાન્ય અને પેટા ચૂંટણી માટે વોટિંગ થઈ રહ્યું છે. 6 કલાકમાં સરેરાશ 31 ટકા મતદાન થયું છે. ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, 2018માં યોજાયેલી 75 નગરપાલિકામાં સરેરાશ 65 ટકા મતદાન થયું હતું. આ ચૂંટણી પ્રક્રિયા 19,84,730 પુરુષ મતદારો જ્યારે 19,01,410 સ્ત્રી મતદારો તથા 15 અન્ય વોટર્સ માટે યોજવામાં આવી રહી છે. આમ કુલ 38,86,285 મતદારો છે. આ મતદાન દરમિયાન 5 હજારથી વધુ ઉમેદવારોનું ભાવિ ઈવીએમમાં સીલ થશે. ત્યાર બાદ 18 ફેબ્રુઆરીએ મતગણતરી કરવામાં આવશે.
