The court said that President Biden should have sought the approval of the U.S. Congress for his student loan waiver plan
The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) rejected President Biden’s plan to waive off more than US$ 400 billion in student loans with a 6-3 ruling. The conservative majority court stated that the President overstepped his authority in announcing the plan to cancel or reduce federal student debt.
