Mr Al Mason has made a good case and a hopeful one to resurrect the India US dialogue that stands aborted at the moment under the guise of diplomacy and politics! I have supported DT ever since 2016 and there are enough videos of me doing so - even when folks like me belonged to what Hillary Clinton called the ‘deplorables’!

I personally led the effort and campaign for Indian Americans voting for him in battle ground states in 2020/2024.

It’s more than evident to the naked eye that DT would rather have a compliant Rahul or any upa leader to deal with than an honorable and strong leader like Modi.

If perception matters a lot in politics, then it’s clear to many observers that America wants a regime change in India , just like they did in Bangladesh and Pakistan. It seems rather obvious that Mr Gor , the ambassador designate, has been sent to execute Trump’s plan and intent and NOT necessarily ‘improve’ anything between Modi and Trump. After all both leaders enjoyed a bon homie never seen before. Everyone may recall and remember ‘Howdy Modi’ event in Houston and then the massive welcome Trump received in Ahmedabad! Modi risked the entire political relationship and relevance by openly calling for ‘Abki bar Trump sarkar’ ! I personally know that several democratic leadership privately told their Indian donors that ‘we will teach that ( strong expletive) a real lesson’ !

Given what I know, and I think I know a little bit, Gor’s expanded role creates more suspicion than confidence. I was taught geo politics by a great strategist- one of the mantra said colloquially is - “whether you help me or not , make sure you assure me that you won’t hurt me”! At the moment DT admin looks like a bully trying to teach a lesson to Modi and India! It’s for Trump to set that image right. At the moment DT admin has ‘made America untrustworthy unreliable friend again’ !

I have said many times in my shows that Modi and Trump are leaders of world’s two most prominent democratic countries . They have an unbelievable confluence of common purposes and goals to actually fix global challenges and I hoped they will not allow ‘divergences and differences’ to overshadow their true goals !

So if Trump allows additional 25% to kick in tomorrow we know Gor can learn to play cricket with Pakistan and watch Bollywood movies in some other Central Asia country !
