Namaste Bay Area is organizing a Ganesh festival on Aug. 30, bringing the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi to San Ramon, California.
With rituals, performances, shopping, and community celebration, the festival seeks to "honor Lord Ganesha – the remover of obstacles and harbinger of new beginnings", said the organizers in a statement.
The celebrations would feature religious observances including Ganapati Sthapana, Aartis, eco-friendly Ganapati Visarjan, Bhajans, and devotional performances.
The festival would also include cultural attractions including Dhol-Tasha Lezim procession, classical amd folk dances, music performances, Ganesha idol making workshop for kids, Indian street food, local vendor booths, community booths and raffles.
The organizers have also invited volunteers and vendors to register for the event.
