Now in its 19th year, DESIFEST 2025 featured over 75 Canadian artists across a range of genres—from experimental fusion to Bollywood classics. Standout performances included the Bollywood Duets showcase, experimental acts such as DESI RIFF and Kalakaar Collective, and a surprise headliner appearance by Bollywood star Jonita Gandhi. The debut of a Bangla–Latin fusion piece by Master-D and Landy Garcia marked a festival first.

Founder Sathish Bala described this year’s edition as a defining moment. “This year’s DESIFEST wasn’t just a concert; it was a defining moment—a realization that truly settled in once the lights dimmed and the stories began to pour in,” he said.

The event also expanded its offerings beyond music, with packed food stalls, a newly introduced Beer Bazaar, and family-friendly activities that created a welcoming, multigenerational atmosphere.

DESIFEST 2025 was supported by new partners Amazon Music Canada and The Diamond, along with long-time sponsor TD Bank Group and government bodies including Canadian Heritage and Ontario Creates.
