A recent survey by Indian American Impact, which polled over 100 South Asian Americans across the United States, reveals that 87 percent of respondents disapprove of Donald Trump’s actions so far in his second term, with the first 100 days leaving many in the community feeling fearful, frustrated, and deeply concerned about the broader erosion of rights and safety.
The survey sheds light on a variety of issues plaguing the South Asian American community, with the top concerns being Trump’s economic policies, immigration crackdowns, and critical funding cuts to federal agencies. These actions, respondents say, have deepened divisions and amplified anxieties about the future.
