Last week, my taste buds embarked on a one-of-a-kind adventure at Indienne in Chicago, a Michelin-starred eatery, which is reinventing Indian fine dining cuisine. I entered with high hopes, curious to see how well-loved chef Sujan Sarkar would interpret modern Indian cuisine. What unfolded was a culinary journey that far exceeded my expectations, offering an experience both visually appealing and greatly satisfying. From the moment I walked into the tasteful River North space, I knew I was in for something out of the ordinary. The interiors, with its dusty rose, taupe, and slate gray color palette, elegant furnishings, and warm glow of soft lighting, felt timeless and crafted an intimate ambiance.
