UN Secretary General calls for maximum military restraint from India and Pakistan

Expressing concern over the growing tension between India and Pakistan, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has called for maximum military restraint from the two South Asian neighbours, his spokesperson said May 7.

“I can tell you that the Secretary-General is very concerned about the situation there. He calls for maximum military restraint from both countries,” Stephanie Tremblay, Associate Spokesperson for the Secretary-Genera,l told reporters at the daily noon briefing of the United Nations in New York.
