Trump said he intervened to prevent a potential nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan

India has denied that there was a direct telephonic call between the two leaders at the height of India Pak conflict.

US President Donald Trump on Aug. 26 told his cabinet colleagues that he intervened to prevent a potential nuclear conflict between India and Pakistan during trade discussions.

“They were ready to trot. But just like India and Pakistan, we're going to end up in a nuclear war if I didn't stop them,” Trump said.\
