Tend Health, an Oregon-based mental health services provider, has appointed Indian-American clinician Namit Choksi as its chief executive officer.

As CEO, Choksi will lead the company’s strategic expansion, strengthen its clinician-first mission, and enhance access to confidential, high-quality mental health care for healthcare professionals, a statement said.

Before joining Tend, Choksi led APAC expansion for biotech firm Perfect Day and advised early-stage healthcare ventures at Northern Light Venture Capital. His earlier work with Kearney focused on expanding access to public health systems, and he has advised global institutions on maternal health and social insurance.

Board chair Arielle Lawrence described Choksi’s appointment as “a moment of alignment,” adding, “his vision aligns perfectly with Tend’s mission, and we are confident that under his guidance, the organization will grow with purpose and integrity—without losing the human touch that sets Tend apart.”

Tend Health stands apart from traditional mental health services by offering confidential, flexible, and stigma-free care that fits the unpredictable lives of healthcare workers. With Choksi at the helm, the organization aims to expand its reach while preserving its deep clinician-first ethos.

“I will always be a clinician first,” said Choksi. “ I’ve experienced firsthand how isolating and emotionally demanding clinical life can be. There were moments in my own journey when I needed someone to talk to—and the right kind of support simply didn’t exist. That personal experience is what brings me to Tend.”

Choksi holds an M.D. from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in India, with advanced clinical and research training from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, a master of public health from Harvard University, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
