He is a licensed professional engineer in Arkansas and an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), and the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.

Dean Tansel Karabacak praised Pidugu, and other appointees for their vision and experience, stating, “this group brings a combination of institutional knowledge and fresh perspectives that will help move our college forward. I’m confident their leadership will spark innovation, foster collaboration, and continue to elevate the national reputation of DCSTEM.”

Pidugu holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Old Dominion University, M.S. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and a B.S. from Osmania University.
