Indian biopharma giant Syngene International will invest $50 million in its first US manufacturing facility in Baltimore City, a move expected to create 300 jobs, Maryland Governor has said.

Governor Wes Moore welcomed the announcement, saying, “We are excited to welcome Syngene International to Maryland as they expand their presence in the U.S. market. As one of the nation’s leading states in biopharma, Maryland offers the ideal location for Syngene to build its footprint while creating jobs, driving innovation, and growing Baltimore’s economy.”
