Caring Senior Service, a national provider of non-medical home care, has announced the opening of its newest franchise in Sugar Land, Texas, under the ownership of Indian-American entrepreneur Preeti Jha.

Jha, an MBA graduate from Rice University and former software engineer, was inspired to open the franchise after facing personal challenges in caring for her aging mother and mother-in-law, both of whom lived in India.

"When both my mother and mother-in-law became ill, I witnessed the challenges that families face when they can't personally provide care for their aging loved ones. Our mothers lived in India and couldn't come here to live with us. Not being able to provide that physical support made a lasting impression on me,” Jha said.

“I want to be there to help other sons and daughters ensure their parents receive compassionate and dignified care. Caring Senior Service allows me to do both,” she added.

The Sugar Land location offers a range of personalized services including companionship, respite care, transportation, medication reminders, meal preparation, and personal care. Clients also receive a 43-point home safety assessment and a tablet preloaded with the company’s Family Portal app, improving communication among caregivers and families.

"By delivering quality care, we not only improve the lives of seniors but also offer invaluable support to their families," she said. "In essence, it's about honoring the memory of my own mother by being present for others."

Born and raised in India, Jha earned her undergraduate degree in information technology from Berhampur University before moving to the U.S.

Founded in 1991 and headquartered in San Antonio, Caring Senior Service operates more than 50 locations across the United States. The new branch, located at 3 Sugar Creek Center Blvd, Suite 100, marks the company’s 20th location in Texas.
