Indian American Advocacy Shines on Capitol Hill: Congressmen Champion US–India Ties

On a vibrant summer day in Washington, D.C., the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS) hosted its largest-ever Capitol Hill Advocacy Day, attracting over 150 delegates from more than 25 states to engage with representatives from over 125 congressional offices. 

A Chorus of Congressional Voices

Speaking with conviction about the U.S.–India partnership and the contributions of the Indian American community, more than a dozen US lawmakers painted a vivid picture of a relationship rooted in shared values, economic potential, and mutual security interests. At the same they also addressed the challenges faced by the diaspora.
