GeoLinks, a California-based provider of fixed-wireless internet services, has appointed Indian-American network innovator Sanyogita Shamsunder as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
A veteran in wireless innovation, Shamsunder brings over 20 years of leadership experience from roles at Verizon, Google, and NextNav and will report directly to GeoLinks CEO Kevin Hetrick.

In her new role, Shamsunder will lead technology and operations as GeoLinks scales its ClearFiber fixed-wireless and fiber hybrid network across California, Nevada, and Arizona. Her mandate includes expanding enterprise-grade offerings for multifamily housing, rural businesses, and government clients while strengthening the company’s capacity through innovation and network scalability.
“Her vision and operational expertise will accelerate our mission to deliver fast, reliable, and affordable connectivity to enterprise, government, and multifamily customers, as well as underserved communities across the West,” said CEO Hetrick.
Commenting on the appointment, Shamsunder said, “I’m excited to join GeoLinks at such a decisive moment. I look forward to expanding GeoLinks’ network reach, driving platform innovation, and empowering more people, properties, and businesses to thrive in the digital economy.”
Shamsunder previously played a key role in Verizon’s national 5G rollout, leading efforts in network planning, spectrum initiatives, and innovation labs. At Google Cloud, she oversaw global edge networking infrastructure. Most recently, she spearheaded operations and innovation at NextNav.
She holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia, an MBA with honors from The Wharton School, and a bachelor’s degree from Osmania University in India.
