DHUN Musical Group hosts annual fundraiser in NJ

DHUN Musical Group, a volunteer-driven musical collective held its annual fundraiser concert on June 7 at Siddhivinayak Temple in Toms River, New Jersey.  

This year’s concert was organized in support of the Siddhivinayak Temple and drew over 400 attendees in celebration of cultural pride and community spirit.    

The program commenced with a spiritual invocation, as children from the Temple’s Gurukul performed a recitation of traditional shlokas. Avinash Gupta, chairman of the Temple, and Geeta Gupta, chief trustee, inaugurated the event.

Distinguished guests in attendance included  Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, Consul General at the Indian Consulate in New York, along with community leaders such as Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) president Saurin Parikh, Bihar Jharkhand Association of North America (BJANA) president Sanjeev Singh, and Indian Friends of Maryland and Pennsylvania (IFMP) president Deepak Chainani.

Performances by DHUN’s core artists — Amrisha, Sandeep, Sudhaker, Bhavisha, Vasanti, Srividhya, Vidyut, and Rajeev Singh — captivated the audience, while five debut performers — Dheeraj, Teju, Keya, Ojas, and Thanmayee — were introduced. The musical arrangements was orchestrated by Sekhar Das.

The event emceed by Anubha Raj concluded with dinner, sponsored by Aarzu. 

Spearheaded by its founder, Rajeev Singh, the DHUN Musical Group has gained recognition across the tri-state area for promoting emerging talent and supporting philanthropic causes.
