We’re looking for a Marketing Intern to assist with digital marketing, social media content, community outreach, and communications — in support of one of our lead executives’ creative writing career and online audience. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone passionate about digital culture and community-driven marketing who wants hands-on experience and personalized mentorship.

What You’ll Do

Assist with managing and growing online platforms (social media channels, community spaces, newsletters, etc.)
Draft and schedule content tailored to the platform and audience
Monitor community engagement and trends, and surface insights
Conduct light research to inform content planning
Help craft and edit written communications, posts, and announcements
Assist with organizational tasks related to content publishing and audience outreach
Support special projects tied to the executive’s writing and creative work (e.g. content collections, engagement campaigns, community initiatives

Ideal Candidate

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
Deep understanding of online fan communities, fandom culture, or creator-led spaces
(e.g. knows how platforms like Twitter, Tumblr, Discord, Patreon, AO3, Substack, etc. function and differ — not a casual user)
Active, savvy social media user who understands audience expectations and online tone per platform
Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools quickly (Google Suite, Canva, Notion, scheduling tools, etc.)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Proactive and eager to contribute ideas
Friendly, respectful communicator — comfortable with async, remote collaboration
No specific degree or formal marketing experience required — enthusiasm, writing talent, and digital fluency matter more

Logistics

Unpaid / volunteer-based; can be structured for college credit or formal recommendation letter at completion
Work directly with a lead executive from ACS in a 1:1 mentorship format
Gain valuable experience in social media marketing, community building, and digital content strategy
Flexible hours — hrs/week can flex around your availability
Fully remote — applicants from all countries welcome
Internship duration: 3-4 months (with potential to extend)
