આ વર્ષે આઝાદીના અમૃત મહોત્સવની ઉજવણીને વધુ ભવ્ય બનાવવા માટે વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીના 'હર ઘર તિરંગા' અભિયાનનો ઉત્સાહ ચરમસીમા પર છે. આ અભિયાનને સફળ બનાવવા સુરતના કાપડ ઉદ્યોગનું યોગદાન અત્યંત મહત્વનું સાબિત થઈ રહ્યું છે. જેમાં સુરતના વેપારીઓને લગભગ સાડા ત્રણ કરોડ રાષ્ટ્રધ્વજ બનાવવાનો ઓર્ડર મળ્યા છે. ઉદ્યોગ સાથે સંકળાયેલા ઉદ્યોગકારો માની રહ્યા છે કે, તિરંગા બનાવવાનો જે ઓર્ડર મળ્યા છે તેનાથી અંદાજે 100 કરોડનો વેપાર કાપડ ઉદ્યોગને થશે.
