સુરત શહેરમાં ગુનાખોરીને ડામવા અને અસામાજિક તત્વો પર કડક નજર રાખવા માટે સુરત પોલીસને 25 લાખના આધુનિક ટોક્નોલોજીના નવા 8 ડ્રોન મળ્યાં છે. સુરત પોલીસને નવા આઠ ડ્રોન મળતા હવે ડ્રોનની સંખ્યા 20 થઈ છે. આવનારા પર્વોમાં એકસાથે 20 ડ્રોનની મદદથી પોલીસ શહેરના સંવેદનશીલ અને ગીચ વિસ્તારોમાં સર્ચ ઓપરેશન અને કોમ્બિંગ હાથ ધરી શકશે. આ 20 ડ્રોન 'પોલીસની તીસરી આંખ' તરીકે કામગીરીમાં મદદરૂપ થશે.
