Iyer has a Bachelors of Engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, India and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

The Rockefeller Foundation, a New York based philanthropic medical research and arts funding organization, appointed Govind Iyer to its Board of Trustees.

A global business executive and a philanthropic leader, Iyer, will bring over his four decades of experience to The Rockefeller Foundation.
