Rita Gupta named 2025 recipient of SuperWomen of FMS Award

Rita Gupta, Fellow in the Server System Architecture team at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), has been declared winner of the 2025 SuperWomen of FMS Award by the Future of Memory and Storage (FMS).  

Sponsored by Hammerspace and Pure Storage, the award recognizes women whose leadership, innovation, and technical excellence are transforming the world of memory and storage technologies.

A graduate of the College of Engineering Pune Technological University, Gupta has over two decades of engineering experience, with a career spanning multiple generations of server architectures, beginning with her early work on the first PCIe 1.0 analyzer and culminating in her current role as a pioneering force behind AMD's Compute Express Link (CXL) innovations.

As CXL End-End Architect at AMD, she leads the definition and execution of advanced CXL memory system architectures for current and next-generation EPYC platforms, including "Genoa", "Turin", and "Venice".

Gupta is also the co-chair of the CXL Consortium Memory Systems Workgroup and has helped shape industry standards in that capacity.

Gupta is deeply committed to promoting diversity in technology. Through her mentorship and involvement with the GSA Women's Leadership Initiative, she supports and empowers the next generation of women engineers and leaders in the semiconductor sector

Gupta will be presented with the award on Aug. 6 during the FMS-Future of Memory and Storage summit in California. In addition to the award presentation, a special SuperWomen of FMS networking reception will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm sponsored by Hammerspace and Pure Storage.
