Advisory Board for Centre for Australia-India relations established

The Centre will drive greater collaboration between two countries and support businesses to seize the opportunities of economic partnership.

The Australian government,on May 23, announced the creation of an Advisory Board for the Centre for Australia-India Relations. Based in Parramatta, the centre will work to build greater understanding within the Australia-India relationship and support businesses to seize the opportunities of economic partnership between both nations, a news release noted.

In February 2023, Australian Foreign Affairs Minister, Penny Wong, appointed Indian-origin Swati Dave as the inaugural chair of the Advisory Board and Tim Thomas as its CEO. New members were inducted into the board by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
