POWER 100 and ‘British Asians Who’s Who’ honor Vishwajeet Rana

He was credited for expanding global education access, empowering students, and championing social mobility through transformative leadership.

The POWER 100 and British Asians Who’s Who Awards have jointly honored Indian-origin social entrepreneur, Vishwajeet Rana with the Lifetime Achievement Award 2025.

Rana, group CEO of GEDU Global Education, was recognized for his transformative contributions to global education and commitment to widening access to quality learning. The accolade was presented at a gala ceremony held at the Savoy Hotel, London.

Commenting on the award, Rana said, "This is a significant undertaking, so we focus on providing access to education to as many students as possible while maintaining the academic quality and student experience. We believe everyone deserves access to high-quality education, regardless of location or economic situation.”

GEDU operates in 15 countries, serving over 75,000 students with a staff of 3,000. Its educational offerings span K12, higher education, PhDs, apprenticeships, and language programs.

Partnering with reputed universities in the UK, USA, Ireland, Germany, Australia, UAE, and others, GEDU enables students to access courses globally. A former HSBC executive with an MBA from Ohio University and a PhD from Stevens Institute of Technology, Rana also serves as an honorary member of the advisory board at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

The award recognizes individuals from the UK's Asian communities making contributions across key sectors, enhancing cultural and economic growth.
