Poorna Jagannathan has been cast in the latest adaptation of Lars Keppler’s 'Joona Linna' book series, produced by Apple TV+.
The series follows Jonah Lynn (Liev Schreiber), a former soldier turned homicide detective, who leaves Philadelphia’s gritty streets for a peaceful life in a small Western Pennsylvania town. But when a cunning serial killer, Jurek Walter (Stephen Graham), threatens the town and Jonah’s family, he must fight to protect what matters most. As the hunt for Jurek’s final missing victim intensifies, Jonah sends his adopted daughter, FBI agent Saga Bauer (Zazie Beetz), to confront the killer, forcing him to question how far he’ll go to stop the evil.
Jagannathan has been roped in to play Quinn, an FBI agent from D.C. who has to lean on Jonah to navigate the close-knit small town as an outsider while dealing with her own personal life struggles.
Reacting to her new role, Jagannathan said on Instagram, "Shat in my pants when I read this terrifying script and haven’t slept since - it is MAGNIFICENT"
She also showed appreciation for the cast, writer and director of the show and thanked Apple TV for backing this project.
An Indian-American actress and producer, she is known for her powerful performances and advocacy for women's rights. Born in Tunisia to an Indian diplomat, she grew up across multiple countries, shaping her versatile career in film, television, and theater.

She gained acclaim for her roles as Safar Khan in HBO’s The Night Of and Nalini Vishwakumar in Netflix’s Never Have I Ever. Jagannathan also co-conceived and starred in the award-winning play Nirbhaya, addressing sexual violence, which won the 2013 Amnesty International Award.
Along with Schreiber, Graham and Beetz, Jagannathan joins previously announced cast members Bill Camp, Rory Culkin and Chrissy Metz.
Directed by Tim Van Patten for the first two episodes, the series is executive produced by Rowan Joffe and John Hlavin, with additional executive producers including Schreiber, Beetz (via Sleepy Poppy), Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril and Alexander Ahndoril.
